Okay, it’s time to stop criticising Halo 3 for looking the same as the last one. Bungie has posted the first pic from the single-player campaign.

Xbox 360 owners should head over to Bungie.net today for a smattering of new info regarding Halo 3 multiplayer. The lads have also uploaded the first screenshot of Master Chief (we presume) posing in the solo campaign. More on this will undoubtedly be revealed next week during E3. Meanwhile the multiplayer shenanigans are looking tastier by the week.

Bungie has officially revealed ‘Last Resort’ described as “a spirited remake of Halo 2’s Zanzibar map” that has an expanded walkway and more doors to get in and out. Good ideas, fellers. ‘Epitaph’ is all-new, and is a labyrinthine theme leading to and fro a huge theatre. Impressive.

Bungie’s update also reveals new armour for multi-player only, available to unlock by playing Halo 3 in cunning ways. Although only cosmetic, the C.Q.B. (Close Quarters Battle) and E.V.A. (Extra Vehicular Activity) Spartan suits are said to be just two of many variations ultimately available.
A new motorbike, the ‘Brute Chopper’, is also mentioned but not shown. Rubbish.
