During downtime this Wednesday, 6 February, we will unfit ships based on changes done in the Trinity expansion in December. Some ships now have fewer module slots than they had before, but the actual modules were not removed. With this fix, all fitted modules of ships that have too many modules for their slots will be placed in the ship’s cargo hold. Since this will not only strip your modules from removed slots but all modules from the entire ship we strongly suggest that you remove additional modules from your ship yourself before the downtime!

Affected ships in the expansion were (high/med/low):

* Eos - changed to: 7/4/6 - 2 turret hardpoints removed.
* Nidhoggur - changed to: 5/5/6
* Ares - changed to: 3/3/4
* Rook - changed to: 5/7/3
* Nightmare - changed to: 6/7/5 - 4 launcher hardpoints removed.
* Phantasm - changed to: 5/6/3 - 3 launcher hardpoints removed.
* Succubus - changed to: 4/4/2 - 2 launcher hardpoints removed.

Unfortunately there was a mixup with the slot data, this has now been corrected. We apologize if it caused any concern.

Explore New Environments, Conquer New Demons and Find More Phat Loot in the First Chapter of the Hellgate Chronicles

The fight for humanity is spreading away from the streets and sewers of London and moving all the way out to the mystical areas surrounding Stonehenge – or what’s left of it. The first installment of the ongoing Hellgate Chronicles is going live for subscribers on Monday, January 21st, 2008.

Stonehenge is a huge outdoor hub accessed through a special portal in Templar Base, connecting players to several new and exciting quests. Heroes will find themselves in completely new open, outdoor wilderness areas unlike anything seen within the city limits of London, battling terrifying new demons and bosses and finding new items very distinct in their appearance. This action-packed update includes:

* The Caste Caves – Unlock four unique dungeons, one for each caste of enemy – Beast, Necro, Spectral and Demon – to seek and destroy a powerful overlord that resides in each cave. Defeating them and collecting their heads will allow you to continue the adventure…
* Moloch’s Lair – Only after collecting the heads from the Caste Caves will heroes be allowed entry into the lair, with a chance to defeat the legendary Moloch, one of hell’s most imposing minions who carries very unique items that can only be obtained by defeating him in combat. And because Moloch’s soul is eternal, this quest and it’s rewards can be a never-ending challenge
* The Wild – These three mini-raid areas present players with difficult obstacles but also huge rewards with three levels that get increasingly more difficult even with the recommended full party size – you will need a small army to get through these challenges

In addition to the above, The Stonehenge Chronicles also includes many of the other updates the Hellgate: London community has been asking for, including improvements to game UI, a large number of skill balance changes, a PvP dueling arena and more.

You can only find the Doppleganger after level 8. Beware, the Doppleganger is extremely powerful. He has all the skills you have, has the exact same HP and SP as you do, but he is 8 levels higher than you and all his stats are higher than yours except for HP and SP.

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announced today that World of Warcraft, its award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), has reached a new milestone, with a player base now totaling more than 9 million subscribers worldwide. PC developers have a tough decision when it comes to making a sequel or expansion pack. Sequels often require a new engine, which can extend the development cycle by several years. Bethesda’s epic PC, 360, and PS3 RPG will be getting a special Game of the Year edition that will include both expansion packs.

Bethesda Softworks’ open-world role-playing game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be joining its processor Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in the Game of the Year edition club. In September, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 GOTY editions of the game will hit retail in North America. The new version will include the original game, expansion pack The Shivering Isles, and the extra content pack The Knights of the Nine. The GOTY edition is $59.99 for 360 and PS3 and $49.99 for PC and will be rated M for Mature like the original game.

Oblivion was released in April 2006 on the 360 and PC, and in March 2007 on the PlayStation 3. The fantasy RPG starts with the main character escaping from prison only to find his native realm of Cyrodiil overrun with Daedra, demonic creatures from the realm of Oblivion. The protagonist then allies with the late emperor’s illegitimate son, who is determined to rid the world of the aforementioned hellish invasion.

The expansion pack The Shivering Isles added the realm of Sheogorath, ruled by the Daedric prince of madness. It contained around 30 extra hours of gameplay, as well as new creatures, dungeons, and quests. Knights of the Nine contained extra content including the titular faction and new quests, weapons, and armor.
