Sierra Entertainment has today announced the autumn release of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, the second in a planned trilogy of titles.
The story continues with the Ape King arriving at the Temple of Souls in an effort to usher in a new age of darkness. Players take on the role of Spyro and must unlock the secrets behind a series of strange visions that he is having and defeat a terrifying new force.
The game is once again filled to the brim with voice talent, including Elijah Wood as Spyro and Gary Oldman as Ignitus.
New to the game is something being called Dragon Time, a new advanced move that allows Spyro to bend time. This can be used to dodge attacks, out manoeuvre enemies or solve time-based puzzles.
Other additions include four new, upgradeable Breath Attacks, four new elemental melee moves, four new Fury Attacks and plenty of explosive boss battles.
The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night is scheduled for release in the autumn for Wii, PS2, Nintendo DS and GBA.

It is Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts and “He-who-must-not-be-named” is up to even more devilish mayhem that involves a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor (beguiled into treating Harry like a pariah) and more trouble than you can shake a want at.

In THQ’s Wii game Ratatouille (pronounced Rah-tah-too-ee), players control the hapless Remy as he devotes himself to his life-long dream – to become one of Paris’ most accomplished chefs, just like his idol, the late Auguste Gusteau. It follows the upcoming Pixar film, taking gamers on an exciting adventure filled with danger and fun challenges. Just don’t expect depth. While it offers several hours of enjoyment, kids will get the most out of this light hearted and easy game.

One of the iconic names in ’90s arcade titles, SEGA Rally is currently undergoing an overhaul. The debut title from SEGA’s UK-based Racing Studio, SEGA Rally will be power-sliding across mud and grit on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and PC during the currently vague ‘Winter 2007′ period. But before that, TVG was invited along to SEGA’s European HQ to get a sneak preview of what we can expect in a few months time.

Despite being over a decade old, SEGA Rally remains a profitable arcade title for the publisher; in fact, the arcade racer is the most profitable arcade title SEGA has ever had, outstripping Daytona USA (which is surely Racing Studio’s next target?) After ports to SEGA’s last bastions of console hardware, the Saturn and Dreamcast, the brand has been laying dormant - except for a Japanese-only release on PlayStation2 in 2006.

In Spider-Man 3, players draw upon Spider-Man’s completely revamped combat abilities as they protect the city and defeat nemeses using expanded aerial fighting, finishing moves and dynamic webbing during missions and epic boss battles.

We hate to say it, but after Konami cranked out three nearly identical button-mashing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (TMNT) titles on the old-gen systems, game fans, turtle fans, and pretty much everyone else in their ’20s who remembered Vanilla Ice’s great achievement in acting were left longing for something more. We’ve all been waiting for a publishing/development team to treat TMNT material with intelligence, humor and design savvy. And one might say we’re still waiting.
Enter the internationally diverse publishing powerhouse, Ubisoft. Grabbing the game license based on the upcoming 2007 CGI movie, Ubisoft Montreal has blended kid-friendly action, platforming and simplified Prince of Persia (POP) acrobatics into a single turtle concoction. Coming sooner than you think, TMNT is hitting eight platforms, yes eight, March 20. You’ll see it on Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP, PC, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, GameCube, and Wii.
In this new adventure, you’ll take on the role of every turtle, Donatello, Rafael, Michelangelo, and Leonardo, with each character prepared to lay down his own special set of moves. And not so surprisingly, you’ll face dangerous and dark criminals bent on causing massive destruction to the turtles’ home turf, the Big Apple. This episode’s evil enemy appears in the form of the mysterious Max Winters who, after being fired from his job, pursues a new career in creating an army of monsters to do his bidding. Even though the turtles have grown apart, there is no doubt you’ll combine all of their skills to defeat Winters, who threatens the very heart of the turtle family.
